Klicksafe.de is a web site that wants to explain and call attention to the dangers of the internet. It tries to cover a lot of aspects on the internet, such as chat, social networks or cyber mobbing. Also data protection and downloading are aspects presented on klicksafe.de. It wants to show a “competent and critical usage of the internet and new media” (klicksafe.de) and shows topics, material for students and teachers and contributes at the annual international “Safer Internet Day”
Klicksafe.de also airs TV-spots on internet security, covering topics as pornography, right-wing extremism and violence. The topics are very up-to-date, for example a guide how to secure the privacy settings on facebook.com or the problem of an increasing number of right-winged articles found on the web.
